“Flowers for Algernon” 3rd Draft due Tuesday, 1/3/12

Make sure that your essay follows the guidelines outlined on the rubric and checklist that was given in class. Below are the key elements that we went over in class.

Paragraph 1: Summary that includes the main characters and setting, your claim the last sentence of your intro.

Paragraph 2: Why is your claim right? 3 quotes or paraphrases cited and fully explained.

Paragraph 3: Why is your claim right? 3 quotes or paraphrases cited and fully explained.

Paragraph 4: Counterclaim: Why is the opposite claim wrong? 3 quotes or paraphrases cited and fully explained.

Paragraph 5: Conclusion that includes your claim and your reasons, counterclaim and reasons it is incorrect, and then a sentence that wraps up you essay.
